2026 Season Dates
The following are the important dates for the 2026 season.
The fall football schedule of game days is released in early August and
is posted to Team Schedules.
February 7
Online Registration Begins

Parent/Guardian Information Meeting For New Families
Mid-February with date and times TBA
6:30PM @ Hopewell Middle School in the Cafeteria
Parents/Guardians of new athletes interested in Cambridge Junior Cheer are required to attend one in-person information meeting and attendance at either of these information meetings in February counts towards this. This meeting helps new families to learn all about the program and the requirements for participation.
Returning families do not need to attend.
A Tryout Clinic will be offered for each grade during the week of March 9.
March 13 Tryouts @ ATA
5:30pm
Please arrive at 5:20pm for checkin
Athletes should wear: plain white tshirt (no logos and not a tank top), navy blue athletic shorts (no Nike Pros or other booty shorts), white-no-show socks, white cheer/athletic shoes, hair in a high pony tail with a plain white bow. The bow is available for purchase during registration.
No jewelry - no rings, no necklaces, no earrings, no bracelets.
Nails should be trimmed with no false tips or embellishments.
Bring a no-spill water bottle.
April 21 Uniform Fitting
@ Hopewell Middle School in the Cafeteria
Each grade is assigned a specific timeslot:
6pm: 6th Grade Squad
7pm: 7th Grade and 8th Grade Squad
Arrive at 5:30pm if you are interested in resell items.
All athletes must wear a sports bra and bike shorts to the sizing. There will not be changing rooms available. All athletes will be sized for the annual player pack. Reminder that all new athletes must purchase a uniform--returning athletes may reuse the 2024 season uniform.
Tuesday, May 5 Competition Team Practices Begin
The team will practice May 5, 12, and 19 from 5-6:30pm at ATA.
Attendance at practices is mandatory.

Tuesday, June 2 Competition Team Begins Summer Practice Schedule
Practices are every Tuesday and Thursday from 3-5pm at ATA.
Attendance at summer practices is mandatory.
Athletes will wear the designated practice attire from the player pack at each practice, along with white-no-show socks and white cheer shoes. Hair must be in a pony tail with a white bow or a CJC bow. Trimmed nails with no tips or embellishments. No Jewelry of any kind.
Wednesday, June 3 Sideline Summer Practices Begin
Summer practices are every Wednesday.
Attendance at summer practices is mandatory.
Practice is held 3-4:30PM @ ATA.
Athletes wear white tank top with navy athletic shorts (no Nike Pros or other booty shorts). Once the practice wear is distributed, athletes will wear the designated practice attire from the player pack at each practice. Hair to be worn in a low pony tail with the new CJC practice bow. Trimmed nails with no tips or embellishments. Cheer shoes with no show-white socks. No Jewelry.

Cambridge High School Mini Cheer Camp

8th grade CJC athletes work as Junior Coaches alongside Cambridge High School JV and Varsity athletes to help run the camp that is for pre-K to 5th graders.

The dance is for all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders zoned to attend Cambridge High School.

8th Grade Squad versus the 7th Grade Squad
6th Grade Cheers on both teams.
Tickets are required to attend. Anyone in eighth grade or below must be accompanied by an adult chaperone. Chaperone’s can watch up to 4 unrelated children.
Tickets are $5 at the gate.
End of Season Banquet for Cambridge Junior Cheer
6pm to 8pm
